Girlz Club was founded in 2003 by artist Candace Keegan. The first group exhibition was held at Wohlfarth Galleries in July 2003 and included Washington DC area artists Judy Jashinsky, Erin Hunter, Emily Greene, Rachel Gecan-Rondinelli, Elizabeth Jernigan, Lisa Farrell and Mary Anella Frank.
Girlz Club organized a collaborative group project at Artomatic 2004 including an exhibition, performance in homage to Ana Mendiata and a 24 hour arts event. Girlz Club at Artomatic participants were Candace Keegan, Judy Jashinky, Elizabeth Jernigan, Janella Stebner, Mary Anella Frank, Ruth Bolduan, Linda Hesh, Ami Wilber, Jannella Stebner, Erin Hunter and Lisa Farrell. They're last exhibition was held in 2006 at Wohlfarth Gallery in Washington, DC.
Other active Girlz club members included, Michal Hunter and Adrienne Mills.
Girlz Club believes in the power of collaborative support for woman in the arts.
